Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property announced ePCT filing services for Rospatent as a receiving office

Since January 1, 2016 applicants who are going to file an international application through the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (receiving office) will be able to use the ePCT filing service provided by the International Bureau of WIPO. Currently, it is possible to try out the Demo version of ePCT filing on the ePCT Portal.

In this regard Rospatent points out that a patent application for an invention or utility model created in the Russian Federation may be filed in an international organization upon the expiry of six months from the filing (or priority) date, unless within the said term the applicant is notified that the application comprises information deemed a state secret.
