The National Center of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Belarus approved a new price list of patent information services on January 31, 2020.

It stands to mention that the cost of patent and informational services has not been changed significantly. However, the price list is supplemented with the new services, including:

• Accelerated preliminary examination of the application for a trademark may be carried out within 3, 5 or 10 days (previously only 10 days). The cost of the service depends on the period of its execution and varies from 110* to 180* BYN (i.e. about 50-82 USD).
• Accelerated substantive examination of the application for a trademark may be carried out within 5, 10 days or 1 month (previously only 1 month). The cost of the service depends on the period of its execution and varies from 294* to 390* BYN (i.e. about 134-178 USD).

* The price is mentioned for the examination of a word trademark in 1 class of ICGS.

It should be added that in the Explanations to the new price list it is noted that a request for accelerated substantive examination of the trademark application may be submitted not earlier than 6 months from the filing date.

It should be pointed out that the standard procedure for a trademark registration lasts about 20-24 months. Besides, the terms may be reduced up to 6-7 months if you apply for an accelerated examination.
