The National Intellectual Property Awareness Week 2018 took place in China from 20th to 26th of April. Chengdu City joined to the events dedicated to the IP matters, so a set of seminars and meetings were held at Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. It should be noted that Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone specializes in particular in creating the innovations, supporting the start-ups and making investments therein.

New Economic and Intellectual Property Forum was carried out in Chengdu High-Tech Zone on April 24, 2018. Within the framework of Forum, the professionals from China, Taiwan and Japan made the presentation speeches concerning the development of the IP system, facilitation of enforcement issues in China and recommended strategies for local companies as to the protection of their IP portfolio abroad. The representatives of our company participated in Forum and made the reports about Eurasian Patent System and the custom border measures as a part of the IP enforcement in the countries of the Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

The seminar dedicated to the recent practice in IP enforcement and litigation in China took place at Chengdu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone on April 25, 2018. The representatives of our company attended this event and participated in an active discussion of the matter with the local attorneys.

Thus, the professionals of "Mikhailyuk, Sorokolat and Partners" joined a complex of events conducted in China during IP week on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day which is celebrated on April 26.
